Peace Parks Foundation has, for the 15th consecutive year, received a contribution from the Dutch Postcode Lottery. This year Peace Parks Foundation again received a cheque for €1.35 million to continue working on the realisation of 10 transfrontier conservation areas across southern Africa. John Loudon, Peace Parks Foundation Director in the Netherlands, says: 'The contribution of the Dutch Postcode Lottery is incredibly important to enable us to continue our work of developing cross-border parks.' In 2014, Peace Parks Foundation received €14.4 million from the Dream Fund of the Dutch Postcode Lottery. 'With that money we manage to, step by step,  better protect the rhino. The first positive results have been achieved!'

The Dutch Postcode Lottery this year donated a record amount of over €341 million to 110 charities. The donations were announced at the annual Goed Geld Gala at Royal Theatre Carré on 6 February 2017.

Thanks to its 2.8 million lottery players, who collectively bought more than 4 million tickets, the Dutch Postcode Lottery's revenue over the past year grew to more than €682 million.

The Dutch Postcode Lottery has been raising funds since 1989 to support organisations working towards a fairer and greener world. Fifty percent of the lottery’s annual turnover goes to charity. The lottery has steadily grown to become the biggest charity lottery in the Netherlands and supports 99 non-governmental organisations. Since its founding, the lottery has dispensed more than €5 billion to its beneficiaries.

Peace Parks Foundation thanks the Dutch Postcode Lottery and the many lottery players for this very generous and continued support of its work!
